Peter Stein is a self-taught artist living in Northern California.
At once both realistic and surreal, his large-scale pencil and color pencil drawings are a reflection of the individual's place in space and time as it relates to universal themes in all of us: personal growth, facing and overcoming fear, the state of our world, and insight found through meditation and refection.
Stein's earth|youth series reflects his deep concern for the planet his children and all children are inheriting.
His abstract art stems from a love of doodling and exploring how shape and color play together to create feeling.
Peter's hope is to connect people in thought and action through his art.
